IP Broadcast Timing Requirements and Possible Solutions

May 13 | 11:20 - 11:35 am

This presentation covers why broadcasters that are looking to migrate from legacy media broadcasting to IP broadcasting need highly reliable and accurate timing for their audio and video content. Timing is critical not just for IP content creation, but also for the transport over IP networks. Ensuring video streams along with audio streams and metadata are aligned when delivered over IP is critical to broadcast content QoS. IP broadcasting allows media companies to deliver content with QoS that is equal to and even higher quality than legacy technology provides while at the same time lowering the cost to create and distribute this content.
